Server Upgrade

We will be upgrading the servers that run the Domus platform on Sunday 5th December 2021.

Why are we upgrading?

The current servers are nearing the end of their life so they need to be upgraded. We have also had some service issues with the current hosting company so we have decided to move to a new company.

We carefully researched the market for a new hosting company who will be able to provide a much better service into the foreseeable future.

When are we upgrading?

We have been working hard for the last few months to prepare for the upgrade and to ensure a smooth transition.

We have now confirmed a migration date of Sunday 5th December 2021.

The system will be unavailable between the hours of 14:00 to 18:00 while we perform the migration.

What will you need to do?

Customers using a domus.net domain to sign in

Customers that use a subdomain of domus.net to login, for example: kingsestateagents.domus.net/signin.

  • Will automatically be switched to new server and will not have to do anything

Customers using their own domain

Customers that have a domain name pointed at our servers and website hosting, for example: www.kingsestateagents.com.

  • You will need to point your domain at the new IP address of 185.199.221.72 after the upgrade is done so your website and current login address will work. If you would like us to do this please send your domain login details to support@domus.net
  • You will need to login to Domus using an alternative address until this is done. Please see the Admin page for details of your alternative address
  • In the meantime, your website will still work on the old servers, it just won't be updated
  • Once the domain name is pointed at our new servers your original login address will work again and your website will update as usual

Please note, if you are using the API to power your website, you will not need to make any changes.

What will happen to the current servers?

We will leave the software running on the current servers until we are happy that all customers have been successfully migrated.

This system will be available for read only purposes, any updates will have no affect on the live system.

After the migration is complete, the data will be wiped and the servers will be decommissioned.
